Departing from Airlie Beach every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 11.30am. The top priority for guests is Whitehaven Beach and famous coral reefs. However guest requests are taken into consideration to ensure everyone on board enjoys their holiday. Operator Profile:
The Operator presents an extensive range of sailing and diving holidays from which to choose. Our large fleet of vessels offer sailing holidays to suit individuals, couples and groups who want to sail, dive, snorkel, explore, party or simply relax.
The Operator commenced operations in March 2000 in the beautiful Whitsundays with the acquisition of Avatar, a 67' Trimaran.
The Operator was established by Adrian Platt and it now has a fleet of 6 sailing vessels including a 65' purpose built dive catamaran, a pocket maxi, a classic 72' sailing ketch, two 80' Maxis and Avatar.
From its inception to date the Operator has povided sailing and scuba diving adventure holidays in the Great Barrier Reef.
Many of our sailing vessels are well known within the Australian racing & yachting fraternity and allow us to share with our guests Australia's great sailing history.
The Operator employs about 40 staff and crew, all dedicated to the marine tourism industry.
The Operator works closely with the Whitsunday Charter Boat Industry Association (WCBIA) to ensure professional standards in marine tourism. The Operator also works with government bodies such as Maritime Safety QLD, the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, & National Parks and Wildlife to ensure our industry maintains sustainable practices so that we can all continue to share the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef for many years to come.
The Operator is Ecotourism Certified and actively promotes Ecotourism standards and policies.
The Operator currently takes approximately 10,000 passengers every year on adventure sailing, scuba diving and camping holidays around the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef.
We ask all guests to fill in product evaluations at the end of their holiday with us and we closely monitor guest feedback. We are very proud to say the majority of our guests say their holiday with the Operator was one of the best things they've done whilst in Australia!

We have a great menu for you, however we do need to be informed at Check-in if you have special dietary requirements. If you have any medical conditions/food allergies please advise at booking and again at Check-in.
Water on boat
All our vessels have fresh tap water suitable for drinking. If you prefer bottled water you can purchase this on board most vessels. Remember to drink at least 2 litres of water per person per day!

Definitions
The following definitions apply for the Terms and Conditions for this vessel.
- The Supplier or Operator means the operator who supplies this vessel to you on arrival.
- The Client is also referred to as the renter (s) or hirer (s)
Ticket Terms:
All prices are shown in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST. Prices valid from 1st April 2007. All departures and itineraries are subject to weather and may be changed or cancelled at the Operator's discretion. The Operator reserves the right to substitute vessels at any time and for any reason.
You acknowledge that travel with, and the recreational services provided by, the Operator involve risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard passengers, the Operator is not liable for personal injury, loss or death and the Operator hereby excludes absolutely all liability for direct and indirect loss including, but not limited to liability for consequential loss and loss of profit, howsoever arising and whether or not arising in the course of the trip (unless caused by the proven negligence of the Operator in which case the liability of the Operator is limited to AU $200,000 (two hundred thousand dollars).
Where the Trade Practices Act of 1974 (TPA) applies and it is not possible to exclude, restrict or modify, any conditions, warranties or rights implied into this contract, the liability of the Operator for any breach or any condition, warranty or other right is limited to the maximum extent possible under the TPA and the limitations of liability under sections 68A and 68B of the TPA, to re-supply services or pay the cost of having the services supplied again, are hereby expressly incorporated into this contract.
Cancellations:
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:
Cancellation 24 days or more prior to departure attracts no attract no additional charges.
Cancellations 23 days or less the full balance of payment is still due.
Guest Travel Cyclone Policy
Season January to March
- The operator is committed to doing all it can to ensure that each and every trip on vessels run.
- In the event of a cyclone or torrential rain that the operator considers may interfere with guest enjoyment and/or render conditions unsafe, the operator may cancel a trip at its absolute discretion.
- In these circumstances, the operator will implement the following procedure:
Procedures:
- Inform all guests as soon as possible prior to scheduled trip departure.
- Offer all guests a trip on the same vessel (or similar trip on another vessel) at a later date depending on availability.
- Provide guests the bookings agent’s phone number through whom the guest booked that trip to arrange alternate travel.
- Reimburse any levies paid to the operator (unless guest is travelling on an alternate trip run by the operator). The operator recommends the customer take out their own travel insurance to cover any out of pocket expenses.
Important Scuba Diving Information
If you are planning to do scuba diving please read carefully the following information.
Pre-Departure Diving Considerations
In accordance with Queensland OH & S and PADI regulations, the following conditions apply:
- All divers must complete a medical questionnaire, disclaimer and a Dive Brief prior to diving.
- Divers over the age of 45 or with a history of asthma, ear or heart conditions or recent surgery or on regular medication or pregnant or epilepsy may be precluded from scuba diving unless a current Diving Medical Certificate is produced.
- The minimum age for diving is 12 years.
- All Certified Divers must produce a current Dive Certification.

Congratulations on choosing a Whitsunday sailing holiday with the Operator! In the time prior to your departure, we have no doubt the beautiful aqua blue waters of the Whitsundays will often be on your mind. Maybe you picture yourself scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef, surrounded by thousands of tropical fish.
Maybe you see yourself sunbathing on the pure white silica sands of Whitehaven Beach. Or maybe you envision yourself hoisting the sails on one of our Performance Yachts and experiencing some very serious sailing. Whatever your expectations are, everyone here would like to make sure nothing spoils your Whitsunday sailing holiday, so we've put together a Predeparture Information sheet with some essential information on it. Travel Insurance:
The area is subject to sub-tropical weather conditions and sudden inclement weather could arise at anytime, the Operator reserves the right to cancel the vessels without notice. The Operator recommends you take out travel insurance to cover any costs and disruptions caused by such events. The Operator takes no responsibility for policies offered by insurers that do not cover for such events. When taking out travel insurance you need to check their terms and conditions to ensure you have the correct cover.

CAMPING ON THE WHITSUNDAY ISLANDS:
Enjoy the peace and tranquility of sleeping under the stars at a secluded beach in the Whitsunday Islands. With a maximum of 2 guests per tent, this is a great option for couples looking for some privacy, guests who are nervous about getting seasick, or people just looking to experience nature at it's best!
This opportunity is unique to the Operator. Passengers who book this option participate in all the daily activities but at night enjoy the privacy of sleeping ashore at the secluded island camping locations.

What is Supplied:
All camping gear is supplied including a two man tent, double blow up matress, linen, sleeping bag, pillows and a torch. A crew member will stay on land with guests and they will endeavour to stay at campsites with ammenities.

Your rental and use of the vessel will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vessel. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vessel. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
Booking information
To make a booking, you must complete our no-obligations reservations enquiry form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your enquiry, we will contact you via phone or email, to advise of availability and confirm the final price is correct - and discuss payment options. A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation notice and at this stage the deposit is processed on your credit card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.
Please note we accept Visa and Mastercard and the credit card fees are:
1) 1.75% for the deposit amount.
2) 1.75% for the balance of payment.
If you are booking via phone, please first make sure you have read the terms and conditions of your selected sailing adventure. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental, trip or charter services.
Amendments
Please check the terms of each vessel to see whether amendment fees apply. Please also note that for some vessels an amendment is treated as a new booking and the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). In the case of boat rental/yacht charter, if the hire or number of days is increased, an additional deposit may be required, while reduction in rental periods or price may reduce the total, but the deposit amount will remain unchanged.
Vessel Capacity and fitness to charter (for Bareboats only)
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vessel you charter is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of passengers allowed is indicated next to each vessel on this website. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A boat or trip supplier can refuse to hire a vessel to any person who is in their opinion unfit to skipper or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
